Do you have a child who will be turning four by September 1, 2018?  If yes, then 4K (four year old kindergarten) is for you!  We would love to hear from you and get your child registered for 4K next year.  Appointments are not necessary for registration, but we'd love to have a list of names started as a checklist so please call Mrs. Schaller to get your child's name on the list.

Registration on that day will be from 8 am to 2pm, but if you cannot make it that day, feel free to contact Mrs. Schaller during any school day.

Do you have a child born between  November 24, 2013 - April 7, 2015?  If yes, then Child Development Day if for you!  This is also on Friday, February 23, 2018.

Child Development Day is a screening and "getting to know" you time for your child.   It is a play based visit with your child and school personnel including a teacher and teachers aides for a look at typical child development.

To make an appointment, please contact Mrs. Jean Reigel at 486-5203.

Appointments are available from 8am to 2 pm.

Summer School dates for 2018 are Monday, July 9 through Friday, July 27!

Welcome to the 2017-18 school year.  Our theme for the year at Bangor Elementary School is ... "It's A Celebration..." as we celebrate all year long our 50th year of educating students at BES.

Our BEST Every Day!

Hello and welcome to Bangor Elementary School!  We are a small but powerful school!  Each one of our grade level homeroom classes has an interactive white board such as a Promethean Board or Smart Board.  We are on the technology super highway and encourage learning through both traditional and emerging learning styles.

All of our students in grades 1 through 5 have “their own” iPad or iPad mini to use throughout the day.  This is commonly referred to as a “One to One” initiative in the educational technology world and we are excited to be in the lead with this!  For an elementary school, we are ahead of many of the local area school districts in this regard.

Our school has about 300 students in PRK – 5th grade.  Our class sizes are low with all class sizes in the teens for the 16-17 school year.  All of our teachers are highly qualified according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction and several have their master’s degrees.

Reading is a major focus during our day.  We have a Reading Specialist who works with students in small groups and keeps our teachers informed of the latest reading instructional practices.  We include an intervention time called BEST (Bangor Elementary Success Time) within our school day.

In addition to instruction in the core areas of math, science, language arts and social studies, each child receives instruction in music, art, physical education and library by teachers specialized in those areas.

Come visit us –we are at our B. E. S. T. everyday!
