Welcome to the School District of Bangor!

"A Small School Building Big Futures."

Dave Laehn, District Administrator

I want to personally welcome you to The Bangor School District.   As our caption reads, we are “A Small School Building Big Futures.”  Because we are small, we pride ourselves on being the type of school where each and every student feels welcome, valued, and encouraged to build their big future.  We feel that we are able to accomplish this because we have a topnotch staff that makes it a priority to not only teach the very important academic skills needed in today’s society, but also make it a priority to reach each and every student on a personal level.  Those connections are at the core of what we do in the Bangor School District.  We hope that you will experience these connections personally whether you are a student, parent, grandparent, volunteer, or community member when you come to our school.  If you are looking at this website to gain information because you are considering our school as an option, we invite you to visit and talk to us about how we can provide opportunities and make connections with you and your children.

“Bangor Cardinal Pride” is on display throughout our school and community as our district offers:

  • A beautiful up to date facility that our community has so generously provided for our students and staff.
  • A safe and caring environment in a small school setting where each and every student feels they are important.
  • The advantage of small class sizes throughout our district which allows our students to receive the attention they need to succeed academically.
  • All of our teachers are highly qualified according to the criteria set by the Department of Public Instruction and many of our teachers have advanced degrees beyond the bachelor's level.
  • Cutting edge technology for our students that will prepare them for the 21st century global economy.
  • A varied curriculum that includes opportunities for students including the opportunity to earn college and technical college credits through local and regional institutions.
  • A wide range of extra and co-curricular opportunities so students can try different areas of interest and find out what they like including athletics, music, art, drama, among many others.

Please visit the elementary and middle/high school web pages. There you will see our expectations proudly displayed.  We expect the “B.E.S.T.” every day from our staff and students and we will be “Safe, Respectful, Productive and Responsible” throughout our school.

Please feel free to contact me at dlaehn@bangorsd.net or at (608-486-5202) if you have any questions or want more information about our school.   We look forward to introducing you to what our school can offer.
