Kevin Kravik-Head Coach/Sprints/Pole Vault

Kevin Kravik begins his 5th season (2015-Present) as the head coach for the Cardinals.  Coach Kravik is a familiar face for the Bangor Cardinals serving as head football coach from 1994-1997 and winning Bangor's first ever football conference championship in 1996.  He has also returned as an assistant football coach since 2007 and became an assistant track coach in 2013.  Coach Kravik is a familiar face and more familiar voice for Track and Field in the state of Wisconsin having served as the Head Track Coach for the Sparta School District for 29 years.  He also was a State Champion in Pole Vault when he attended Deerfield High School.

Graduating from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a teaching degree, Coach Kravik taught social studies for the Sparta School District for 32 years and retired after the 2014-2015 school year.  Coach Kravik also took over the Athletic Director position in September 2015.  Kevin lives with his wife Roxanne and son Kellen.  

Deb Craig-Assistant Coach/Long Distance



Debra Craig begins her 6th
 season (2013-Present) as an assistant coach for the Bangor Cardinals Track Team.  Coach Craig is also the Head Cross Country Coach (2012-Present) for Bangor.  She previously coached both programs at the middle school level for 14 years.

Coach Craig graduated from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa with a degree in physical education.  While attending college she participated in track, softball and basketball.

Deb is a paraprofessional for the Bangor School District.

Roxanne Kravik-Assistant Coach/Jumps/Hurdles

Roxanne Kravik begins her 4th season (2015-Present) as an assistant coach for the Bangor High School Track team.  A former Bangor athlete and Bangor Athletic Hall of Fame Inductee, Mrs. Kravik brings a wealth of knowledge to the track and field program.  Mrs. Kravik graduated in 1988 from The University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Social Studies.  She also earned a Masters in Education-Professional Development degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 2008.  In 1988, she began her teaching career, in the Bangor School District, teaching the Learning Disabled.  She has enjoyed teaching sixth grade at Sparta Middle School for the past 23 years.  Mrs. Kravik loves spending time with her family, watching her son's sporting events, traveling to warm, sunny destinations, and reading.


Josh Chaplin-Assistant Coach/Throws

Josh Chaplin beings his 7th season (2012-Present) as throws coach for the Bangor High School Track Team.  Coach Chaplin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and received his master's degree in School Psychology in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  He is District School Psychologist/Special Education Coordinator and received his Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in 2016.  Coach Chaplin has also been an assistant Varsity Football Coach since 2006 and served as the Co-Athletic Director in 2014-2015.  Originally from Frederic, WI, Coach Chaplin (Chappy) enjoys turkey hunting and ice fishing.

Bruce Brewer - Coach Emeritus

In 1978, the Bangor School District gained a dedicated and extraordinary individual in the teaching and coaching professions.  For 38 years, Bruce Brewer has been an outstanding figure and advocate for athletics, athletes, and the Bangor community.  Originally a graduate of Richland Center High School, Mr. Brewer received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1978 and a Master’s Degree in 1990.  As the longest serving coach in Bangor history, Mr. Brewer has influenced, shaped, and educated numerous students and athletes.  For 35 years, Mr. Brewer served as the Head Girls Track Coach.  He has also served as Activities Director, Head Boys Track Coach, Head Boys and Girls Cross Country Coach, Head Wrestling Coach, and also Assistant Football and Assistant Girls Basketball Coach.  In his tenure as Track Coach, Mr. Brewer has coached 8 State Champions, 153 State Qualifiers, and 294 Conference Champions.  Bangor High School has also won 30 Team Conference Championships (25 Track and 5 Cross Country) under his guidance.  Mr. Brewer’s coaching has also been recognized throughout the state as he has been a speaker at the Wisconsin State Track Clinic, twice been awarded the District 3 Track Coach of the Year, and twice been awarded the District 3 Cross Country Coach of the Year.  

Coach Brewer was inducted into the Wisconsin Track Coaches' Association Hall of Fame Class of 2015.
