Mrs. Harper
Hello My Name Is...

Michelle Harper

Two middle school Science teachers in Schofield, Wisconsin raised me.  I then attended Winona State University where I completed a double major in Special and Elementary Education.  I taught for one year in Hurley, Wisconsin, and then moved to this area to be with my husband, Kyle. I completed my master’s degree in Reading Education and got my Reading Specialist License from the UW-La Crosse.  My husband and I then built our home in West Salem and had two girls, Lacy and Cora.  We also have a rescue dog named Otis.  My interests include spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and being outdoors in anyway.

    What I Do
I have been teaching in the Bangor School District since 1999.  I am the Middle School Learning Disabilities Teacher.  My goal is to encourage students with disabilities to better their education and teach them to become life-long learners and advocates for themselves.
I am also the coordinator for the district for the 7th grade Poynette outdoor education field trip to the MacKenzie Environmental Center.
