Bangor Elementary News
Third, fourth, and fifth graders have completed their first week of statewide testing. The Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Exams will be given on the mornings through November 17th. We will try to make up exams by Thanksgiving as test booklets need to be returned to the state then for scoring. We expect to receive results in the spring. Third and fifth grade students are tested in math and reading. Fourth grade tests include science, socials studies, language arts, and writing. Thanks for helping your students get a good night's sleep and breakfast. It really helps them do their best! The students appear to be trying their best to do well.
We welcome 5th grade student teacher, Katherine Pierce, school psychologist intern, Jennifer Vogelberg, and Lindsey Hestekin, 1st grade clinical student from UW-La Crosse. In addition, we welcome Mrs. Virginia Bolin, long-term substitute music teacher. We hope they enjoy learning with students and staff at BES.
Please remember when your child is not coming to school to call the office at 486-5205 and leave a message stating the child's name and reason. Students with no reason given are unexcused. Students arriving to school after 8:30 will be marked ½ day absent.
