The Bangor Jazz Band consists of Bangor band students who want an extra challenge. Students in grades 7-12 on any student are encouraged to be a part of this group. They play music from various genres including, but not limited to, swing, rock, funk and Latin. Jazz Band rehearsals are on Thursday mornings form 7:30-7:55 during the school year and during the three week summer school session during the summer.
Performances throughout the year include: Bangor Fun Daze and Burns Firefly Fest (in August), Outside of the Purple Cow Ice Cream Shop (August or September), all school band concerts, La Crosse Rotary Light (in December) and at Solo/Ensemble Festival (in February or March). Other performances may come up throughout the year.
