Attention Seniors: As we prepare to celebrate your graduation from Bangor High School, we want your voice to help shape the ceremony. One of the most meaningful parts of graduation is the keynote speaker, and this year we are inviting seniors to help nominate individuals for this honor. Please check your Google Classroom for the link to nominate potential graduation speakers. Nominations will remain open until Friday, February 20th.

 

 

Congratulations to our High School Forensics team members who competed in the Sub-District competition at Kickapoo High School last night!

All three pieces advanced to the District level competition, which will be March 21st at West Salem. Two other groups will be participating virtually at the end of this month!

 

 

Coach Olson and staff will be conducting four Monday Night, MS Volleyball Tune up clinics starting on Monday, March 9-March 30 from 5:30-7pm in the HS gym. The clinics are designed to review fundamental techniques, help build skills, and work on team chemistry. Forms to participate can be found in MS Resource rooms. Turn in forms to Coach Olson by Monday, March 2nd.

 

 

Cross Country will be having a Walking Taco fundraiser next week at the Boys/Girls basketball game on Friday, February 13th in the cafeteria. They will cost $5 . The money will be going towards the Cross Country 2026 trip to Hawaii. 

 

 

The Library will be open for Mystery Dating (or checking-out any books) during the HS and MS lunch times tomorrow.  Please eat and finish your lunch in the cafeteria before coming into the Library- see you there!

 

 

There will be a group FFA meeting in Ms. Wohlrab's room on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00pm. We will be working on our February service project and enjoying appetizers for dinner. 

 

 

This year the FFA is planning Bring Your Tractor to School Day on Tuesday, February 24th. If you are interested in participating please see Ms. Wohlrab for your permission slip. You must complete and submit this permission slip by Tuesday, February 17th to ensure we block off enough parking space. 

 

 

Remember that we are celebrating FCCLA Week with dress up days, raffles, and HS lunchtime games. Any MS/HS student or staff who dresses up for the theme each day will receive a raffle ticket to be entered in to win a variety of great prizes! Today’s National FCCLA theme is Family and Consumer Sciences Educator Day. This is a day to celebrate all FCS educators and FCCLA Advisers. Thank you, Ms. Hooker, for everything you do in our school!

 

Wednesday’s Dress Up Day: Dress like Ms. Hooker Day! Be bold, fun, and unique!

 

Reminder to hand in any last minute Sweets for Sweeties forms to Ms. Hooker!

 

Wednesday’s Breakfast: Bacon or Sausage, Egg, & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich. Wednesday’s Lunch:Teriyaki Chicken or Sweet & Sour Chicken with Seasoned Brown Rice and Peas & Carrots.
