Congratulations to Reesa Wiggins who competed at the State Forensics Competition on Saturday! Reesa was awarded a silver medal in the Solo Acting category. The rest of the Forensics team is competing virtually, and their entries will be judged this week

Bangor Tech Ed had 5 teams compete in the MVGT Tech Expo Catapult competition in Necedah. Hayden Massman and Mavryk Gollnick placed 1st and Cameron Wilcox, Dylan Mathison and Ethan Jacobson placed 3rd. Congrats to all the teams that competed.

On Thursday, 10 Bangor High School students had the opportunity to travel to the expanded Coloma Training Center to participate in an Externship Day sponsored by The Operating Engineers local 139. At this event, students got to participate in the following activities: *Tour of the 400 Acre State-of-the-Art Training Center *Overview of Apprenticeship, pre-apprenticeship through Destinations Career Academy, Youth Apprenticeship *Contractor Panel *Hands-On Experience with Simulators & Mini-Excavators We love being able to offer these types of opportunities to students and look forward to expanding event attendance next year!

Baseball and Softball have been postponed until tomorrow, Friday, 4-19. We will now play Brookwood instead of Neillsville tomorrow.

Students were "Tangled in Memories" this past weekend as the Class of 2025 hosted Prom. Members of the decorating committee worked hard in the weeks leading up to the event to make it a night to remember! Congratulations to King Ezequiel Rodriguez and Queen Anna Fronk! Other court members included: Brock Bores, Evan Buchholz, Tyler Meyer, Landon Phillips, Sophie Kassera, Aubrey Langrehr, Rylee Lyga, and Grace Wenthold.

The Track Meet at Kickapoo scheduled for today is cancelled.

Bangor was well-represented at the Wisconsin FCCLA State Leadership Conference earlier this week. Out of the 11 student competitors, seven scored in the top two of their category, which qualifies them to advance to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Seattle, WA this summer. National Qualifiers: Carson Sylla - Top Gold in Interior Design Level 3 Aubree Gilbertson - Sustainability Challenge Level 2 Monroe Sebranek, Callie Lictao, & Kilee Schuster - Professional Presentation Level 2 Julianne Thielker & Grace Haag - Repurpose and Redesign Level 2 Megan Goede participated in the Say Yes to FCS Signing Ceremony for her future plans to go into Family and Consumer Sciences Education. One last congratulations to Reesa Wiggins for her exceptional year as the Wisconsin FCCLA Vice President of Public Relations. Throughout the week, Ms. Hooker was approached multiple times by other conference attendees saying how kind, respectful, polite, and supportive our Bangor students are. Overall, it was a very positive experience for the whole chapter!

Published authors! Over the winter the Spanish 3 class learned about fairytales. The students then wrote their own Spanish short stories which we sent off to be published into our very own book of fairytales! The students worked so hard on their stories and it was great to see the finished product when we received our hardcover book.

High School Government class and Middle School Personalized Learning completed some Community Service at our local park.

High school Painting class and the 7th grade Art class have brightened up halls by the art room with these black light lit neon sculptures (WE LOVE MS ART) and neon Landscape paintings.

There have been lots of exciting things happening for the Class of 2024 this week! On Wednesday, Cody Petersen was honored as Bangor's 2024 La Crosse Kiwanis Scholarship recipient at a luncheon at the Radisson Hotel! Students from nine La Crosse County schools attended. Nolan Langrehr and Emily Warsing, along with students from 10 other districts, were recognized at the La Crosse County Honors Banquet on Thursday night; student attendees made up the top 5% of their high school graduating class. As we get closer to graduation, we take great pride in honoring these special students and can't see where their futures take them!
