Advanced students did portraits on cardboard using charcoal pencils. Here are the amazing results.

Mrs. Olson's Art classes have been busy creating exciting and new artwork using a variety of materials.
Ceramics/3D used 2-3 Styrofoam cups and hot glue to create an interesting sculpture. Staff then voted on their favorite based on creativity, and craftsmanship. Winning cup design was Elizabeth with her Monster Tower.
8th grade Art students used acrylic paints to create monochromatic instruments (1 color with tints, shades, and tones of that color).
Art Survey class learned how to blend Prisma color pencils and how to use graphite pencils to create these contrasting shoe designs.

Last night, the Board of Education met and heard updated information received from the State of Wisconsin regarding funding, which show the estimated mill rate would be $9.50 if the November 8, 2022 referendum is approved. This is an $0.87 decrease from when the Board approved the referendum resolution in August.
If approved, the referendum would result in an estimated annual tax decrease of $27 for every $100,000 of property value over the current tax rate.
The proposed $24 million referendum focuses on addressing prioritized educational upgrades, and deferred maintenance across the District, with remodel and addition projects proposed at the Elementary School, Middle/High School and Old School Gym.

Each year the Bangor Firefighters stop by to share an important message with our students:
-as a family, what is you escape plan if there is a fire in your home?
-do you have a designated meeting location for your family?
-it’s time to change the batteries in smoke/CO2 detectors

Mrs. Lueck's Lifetime Fitness and Fitness & Wellness classes experienced a session with teacher Beth McGowan of Be Still Yoga in Bangor. Students learned about flexibility and mobility as well as the benefits these foundational skills have on the mind and body.
