On Friday, May 3rd, the Bangor FFA partnered up with West Salem FFA for the annual Food for America Event. This tradition is an educational program that focuses on agricultural literacy and provides an outreach opportunity for FFA membership to teach local 4th graders all they know about ag! Attendees traveled to 4 different locations where they had the opportunity to learn about livestock, vegetable production, aquaponics, equine, and agricultural equipment. Special thank you to the West Salem Bangor FFA, A-R Line Dairy/Holthaus Family, Old Oak Family Farms, the La Crosse County Fairgrounds and all of the volunteers who help make this event happen year after year.

On Friday, students in English 11 traveled to UW- Stevens Point to celebrate the end of the Connections Project! Students have been participating in literature circles with students from Oakfield High School for the past eight weeks. Future teachers from UWSP (with guidance from their cooperating high school teachers) created and implemented lessons for the literature circles. Friday was all about meeting in-person and celebrating the conclusion of this project while getting to experience campus at UWSP. Students had a great time discussing, sharing projects, and enjoying lunch with their group members!
