Last night, the Board of Education met and heard updated information received from the State of Wisconsin regarding funding, which show the estimated mill rate would be $9.50 if the November 8, 2022 referendum is approved. This is an $0.87 decrease from when the Board approved the referendum resolution in August. If approved, the referendum would result in an estimated annual tax decrease of $27 for every $100,000 of property value over the current tax rate. The proposed $24 million referendum focuses on addressing prioritized educational upgrades, and deferred maintenance across the District, with remodel and addition projects proposed at the Elementary School, Middle/High School and Old School Gym. Bangor Elementary had some great options on the menu today! The options included a chef salad or chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, both served with Scooby-Doo! graham crackers. At the garden bar there was a variety of fresh produce including spring mix lettuce, cucumbers, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, celery, and apples. Students could also choose mixed fruit or green peas to go with their meal. All lunches come with the choice of a fat free chocolate milk or a 1% low fat white milk. Today was Sweet Treat Thursday and students had the option of an orange dream or fudge bar. We would love to have you join your students and try lunch with them! The menu can be found here: https://bangor.nutrislice.com/menu/.
