Last night, the Board of Education met and heard updated information received from the State of Wisconsin regarding funding, which show the estimated mill rate would be $9.50 if the November 8, 2022 referendum is approved. This is an $0.87 decrease from when the Board approved the referendum resolution in August. If approved, the referendum would result in an estimated annual tax decrease of $27 for every $100,000 of property value over the current tax rate. The proposed $24 million referendum focuses on addressing prioritized educational upgrades, and deferred maintenance across the District, with remodel and addition projects proposed at the Elementary School, Middle/High School and Old School Gym. Today was Unity Day to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying.

Each year the Bangor Firefighters stop by to share an important message with our students: -as a family, what is you escape plan if there is a fire in your home? -do you have a designated meeting location for your family? -it’s time to change the batteries in smoke/CO2 detectors

Mrs. Lueck's Lifetime Fitness and Fitness & Wellness classes experienced a session with teacher Beth McGowan of Be Still Yoga in Bangor. Students learned about flexibility and mobility as well as the benefits these foundational skills have on the mind and body.

One Bangor Yard signs and Stickers now available! Show your Bangor pride with a new One Bangor yard sign or car sticker. These can be purchased at the Elementary office or in the District office during school hours. Yard signs are $10.00 each and stickers (5 inches) are $1.00 each.

Bangor Elementary had some great options on the menu today! The options included a chef salad or chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, both served with Scooby-Doo! graham crackers. At the garden bar there was a variety of fresh produce including spring mix lettuce, cucumbers, baby carrots, grape tomatoes, celery, and apples. Students could also choose mixed fruit or green peas to go with their meal. All lunches come with the choice of a fat free chocolate milk or a 1% low fat white milk. Today was Sweet Treat Thursday and students had the option of an orange dream or fudge bar. We would love to have you join your students and try lunch with them! The 2022 class of the Bangor Hall of Distinction was celebrated on Saturday with members of the Ardelle Schroeder and Eugene Toepel families receiving the honors. These two distinguished graduates of Bangor High School will be remembered in the Hall of Distinction for years to come. At the Friday night Homecoming game, Rick's Muellenberg's Induction into the WFCA was celebrated with the installation and reveal of a sign near the scoreboard of the football field. Congratulations to Rick, the fellow coaches, and all of the athletes who helped to make this award possible.
