Bangor’s MS/HS and Elementary Principals set to Retire.
At the December and January regular school board meetings, the Board approved the retirements, at the conclusion of the 24-25 school year, for MS/HS principal Rick Muellenberg and Elementary principal Michael Johnson. With a combined 60 years of service to public education and their last 6 years as principals in Bangor, this duo has impacted countless lives for the better. Their contributions to the School District of Bangor will be remembered for years to come. The School District wishes them all the best in their next chapters of life.
The interview process is underway for the new MS/HS Principal and the Elementary process will begin in the next couple of weeks. We are optimistic for early hires and smooth transitions for these roles.
Congratulations to Rick and Mike on incredible careers in public education!

Bangor Welcomes Abbey Sasse to the Music Education Department
The School District of Bangor is excited to announce the hire of Abbey Sasse who will be taking over as elementary music teacher on January 20th. Abbey has just completed her student teaching experiences and comes to us highly recommended. She has a strong instrumental background with her primary instruments being the piano and percussion.
Current elementary music teacher Paul Sadergaski will be shifting over a building and will take over as MS/HS vocal music teacher effective on the same date. This move follows the unexpected departure of MS/HS School vocal music teacher Ryan Stuempges who will remain connected with the District and is directing our March production of Grease in our newly renovated Activity Center.
While the timing of these changes has been unexpected, the end result is an outstanding music department that is dedicated to providing an outstanding musical experience to our students. We look forward to watching Ms. Sasse, Mr. Sadergaski, and Mr. Jones inspire the next generation of musicians.

Mrs. Olson’s first semester classes have been working hard on a variety of projects. HS 3D Design has life size tape sculptures on display throughout school. HS Art Survey finished oil pastel fruits, 6th graders did a collage dog or cat while experimenting with different mediums. 8th graders made radial prints on an oil pastel background.

This month you will find texture cake drawings created by Mrs Olson’s 6th graders at the John Bosshard Memorial Library in Bangor. In addition 8th graders have Radial Printmaking, 7th Graders have 1 pt perspective trains, and HS students have charcoal drawings showing reflection and refraction.
