The fifth grade class at Bangor Elementary School has been a long time sponsor of a local family in connection with a county wide holiday giving project.
La Crosse County's "For Goodness Sake" Project is an annual holiday initiative connecting local families in need with community sponsors for gifts, food, and basic household items. The students give cash donations or families purchase items on a wish list to fulfill the family's needs.
The students are learning- “it is better to give than to receive.”
