This year Bangor HS will be represented in the @NationalHistory Day National Contest! Chance and Leo's group performance script will be sent to the virtual contest. Lauren and Molly's group website was also chosen as an alternate. Excellent job everyone!

Bangor High School National Honor Society and Student Council will be hosting a Blood Drive on Thursday, May 14th from 12:30 to 5:30 in the HS gym. Due to the current health emergency, the American Red Cross will only be taking blood donors with an appointment. The West Salem/Bangor FFA Alumni with the help of local community and groups has donated 53 grocery bags of dairy items to be donated to the families participating in the meal delivery.
AP Language and Composition chatted with author Jay Heinrichs. He wrote New York Times bestseller Thank You For Arguing (which the students have read pieces of) and How to Argue with a Cat. His closing message for them was to take the strategies that they're learning about argument to make change and to have faith that they can do so.
