Upcoming event for the Coulee Region FROST Sled Hockey team. The Day on Ice-Hockey is for Everyone will take place on Saturday, November 2nd from 12:30-2:00 pm at Green Island Ice Arena.

The new ownership of Bangor Lanes has been a great supporter of our schools. From fundraisers to hosting school events, it is outstanding to have a business partner like Bangor Lanes who is truly invested in our school community.

Congratulations to Highland Ridge market who was honored by the Bangor Board of Education last night as part of the WASB Business honor roll.
As one of Bangor’s newer businesses, Highland Ridge has been an appreciated partner to the district with many events. Most importantly, Highland Ridge has worked with the elementary school to create a mock business experience for one of our students. This small business in our small town symbolizes so much of what our community represents.

Hansen’s IGA has been a long-time business partner of the School District of Bangor. We count on Hansen’s for a range of services from meeting our fleet’s fuel needs, preparing incredible products for our concession stands, and offering fundraising opportunities in their Saturday brat stands. Congratulations to Schindoggies who was honored by the Bangor Board of Education last night as part of the WASB Business honor roll.
The team at Schindoggies of Bangor has been a partner of Bangor Schools for many years and has built a solid tradition of supporting the Bangor Elementary PTO. Their food truck services have been wonderful and their donations to the school and district each year are greatly appreciated.

Our Bangor Fire Fighters are sharing fire safety with our elementary students today. October is fire safety month. Please talk as a family about your plan when there is an emergency.
The Bangor Volleyball program raised money for their annual pink night celebration on October 3rd. All levels provided raffle baskets that were raffled off between sets. Our youth volleyball program collected donations for our miracle minute before the varsity match and t-shirts were sold prior. In total Bangor volleyball raised over $1800.00 in donations that will be given to Sunshine on the Trail to support local families affected by Cancer.
Mrs. Olson’s art classes have been busy this past month creating amazing artwork. 6th grade have been learning about values and created gum ball machines using a glue resist technique and pastels. 7th grade made fences out of craft sticks and then painted their graffiti style names with paint markers. The high school Art Survey class created ice cream cones on black paper using white colored pencils.

Mrs. Jarvis' class finished reading The Wild Robot just in time for the movie release of the same title! They all met up at Sparta Cinema on Saturday to watch the movie together, and now plan to do some comparing and contrasting in class.
Unique experience for the Cross Country team Friday night running at the Nightfall Classic in Marshfield. Anna medal in 7th place out of 160+ runners to lead the girls. Grayson had a 15 second PR to lead the boys

Alexa Heitkamp represented Bangor today in her role as Badger Girls State Superintendent. She had the honor of introducing State Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jill Underly as she gave her state of education address at the state Capitol.
